St. Margaret of Scotland, was an English Princess and Scottish Queen. During a time of turmoil and revolt in Scotland, she was known for her strong character and pious Religion which permeated through her husband, Malcom III, and through him over the people of Scotland. St. Margaret spent much of her private life in devotional reading and prayer which led to the spiritual influence over her husband's country as she promoted the arts and a return to religious practices. St. Margaret, is the patron saint of fashion and her model of charity earned her the title the Pearl of Scotland.
